We like Life Coaching because it includes all of that but also emphasizes the idea that competition and conflict are not things to apologize about, but challenges to be enjoyed in order to learn how to be victorious, even to be overcomers. Divorce before Marriage! "Divorce" is a frightening word and destroys the honeymoon mentality that you carried into marriage. But now the "D" word is in your thoughts and your partners.
But this does not have to mean you are a failure or your marriage is a failure because in our experiences, it is often the beginning of a good marriage where conflict is allowed and differences are finally celebrated. In the honeymoon there is innocence without awareness.
In the second stage of what we call "the honey, I am pregnant" stage there is awareness without innocence, but in the final stage where marriages become a matter of delight, what we call the Land of Milk and Honey, there is both innocence and awareness.
But the innocence in the third stage is not a lack of awareness of the other, but the awareness of a person once guilty who has now been made innocent of their crimes.
No one who has experienced marriage the way God designed marriage will ever want to leave it.

We begin at a place many therapies try to end up. We start with the foundation of who you are, who you are as God loves you and also as God knows you.
You are an oak tree, not an acorn. You are a swan not an ugly duckling. You are a black sheep in a dysfunctional family, which means your sanity is threatening to everyone around you!
